In a February I have posted about a project using HTML5 and scalable vector graphics (SVG) for smarter publishing of business process models. The project now has come into the QA phase and I uploaded a first teaser of published content to be accessed from this blog post.

Large organizations are really challenged with data governance and the need to deal with information silos. Specialized enterprise management applications from different domains like enterprise architecture (EA), business process management (BPM), governance risk and compliance (GRC), project portfolio management (PPM) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) do not make life easier when it comes down to leverage data from all these sources. Usually, the control and exchange of data fails by misinterpretation and weak implementations of interchange specification standards. So basically every organization has to reinvent the wheel by developing and customizing point-to-point interfaces.

In 2013 our teams focused very much on customer projects integrating various tools such as ARIS, Visio, CaseWise, Sparx Enterprise Architect, IBM Rational System Architect, OpenText ProVision, IBM BlueWorks, SAP, HP ALM and many others to perfect the universal model translation between different modeling languages, EA frameworks and vendor specific implementation of standards such as BPMN. For 2014 we see a huge demand in the EA/BPM enterprise management market for more operationalization, more agility for faster value delivery to the business and to reduce IT costs.Organizations looking to leverage model assets and build continuous value chains to integrate different enterprise management disciplines, to improve communication between different departments or project teams and to escape from management silos are well recognized requirements and needs from the professional market.
