|System monitoring||IT operational||Monitors all technical aspects of the instances (ECC, R/3, PI, etc.), systems, databases and servers.||At any time, a detailed overview of the current system status can be viewed|
|EarlyWatch alerts||IT operational||EarlyWatch alerts are based on proper or SAP®’s pre-defined thresholds and give a detailed status report||Automated status report with traffic light-based warnings and alerts before critical situations occur|
|Service level (SLA) reports||IT operational||Trend analysis of system, database and server states, show trends in e.g. response time for pre-defined or proper KPIs||Manage information about KPIs, current status, history and trends in order to supervise SLA|
|Business activity monitoring (BAM)||Business||KPI monitoring of critical processes, including interfaces||Achieve almost real-time information to identify weak points for continuous process optimization|
SSM solution monitoring integrates all SAP® and non-SAP® systems in the IT landscape. The presentation of monitoring results can be flexibly adapted to the client´s operational, application and business support process structures.
The SSM can be configured to process and forward monitoring results to the 2nd level support, the Program and Application Management and process stakeholders over various communication channels like
- SMS and email notifications
- service messages in Service Desk
- controlling dashboards in the SAP® Work Centers
- SLA Reporting
TransWare offers the implementation of IT operational monitoring bundled with the Basic Installation and Integration Service Package. The implementation of business activity monitoring requires a project frame to account for the individual requirements of the client’s business processes and KPIs.
Business Activity Monitoring (BAM)
BAM requires the existence of a so-called SSM solution which represents the operational business processes in the IT landscape. SSM has a library of predefined KPI monitor types that allow the inspection of process steps for specific criteria, e.g. “open sales documents” in a business process.
It is possible to define custom KPI monitors to capture specific KPIs.
TransWare’s project methodology for establishing BAM in an IT landscape and organization includes four project phases.
